How to compare MOTS-c listings

The current catalog includes 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg and 40 mg labels, along with other stated amounts. Select an exact amount to compare equal selections, or use price per mg to examine size differences. A lower unit price can still come with a larger upfront total cost.

Read the complete product title when a result includes MOTS-c. The catalog also contains combinations labeled NAD+ / MOTS-C / 5-Amino-1MQ. Those are separate blend listings; their total weight cannot be used as the amount of MOTS-c alone.

Before opening an offer

  • Confirm the offer is for MOTS-c alone rather than a named multi-compound blend.
  • Use the exact labeled amount, including any non-round value, without rounding it to a nearby size.
  • Check whether availability comes from a direct supplier capture or an aggregator report.

Sources and comparison limits

15 listings from direct supplier captures and 98 listings from aggregator reports. Capture and import dates record when data was obtained; they do not guarantee the supplier’s current price or stock.

Listings include out-of-stock and unconfirmed-stock records. Inclusion does not certify a supplier, a batch or a product. Read how matching and source dates work.

Questions about this comparison

Are MOTS-c, MOTSC and MOTS C treated as the same name?

These spelling variants are grouped together for search and comparison. The original source still determines the labeled amount, pack count and product details for each offer.

Why does an imported MOTS-c listing still say vendor freshness is unknown?

An aggregator capture shows when we obtained its data. Even an upstream catalog update does not prove when that supplier's specific price or stock was last checked. Open the vendor source to confirm the current listing.

About MOTS-c

Source profile reviewed 2026-10-01 · Imported 2026-10-22. Read the full compound profile

MOTS-c is a 16-amino-acid peptide encoded by a short open reading frame hidden inside the 12S ribosomal RNA gene of mitochondrial DNA, first described in 2015 by Changhan Lee and Pinchas Cohen's group at the University of Southern California. In mice it activates AMPK, improves insulin sensitivity, prevents diet-induced obesity and, when given to old animals, improves running capacity and healthspan, and in young men its plasma level rises after a bout of cycling; it is sold online as an exercise mimetic on the strength of that work. No human trial of MOTS-c itself has been completed: a related analog, CB4211, finished a phase 1a/1b study in 2021 before its developer dissolved, and a phase 2a trial of MOTS-c in prediabetes began recruiting in 2026. WADA prohibits it at all times as an AMPK activator (S4.4.1), and the FDA listed it among compounding substances that may present significant safety risks from 2023 until the nomination was withdrawn in April 2026, noting that it had found no human exposure data at all.

Review

Human intervention gap

Reviews emphasize that therapeutic human evidence remains limited and clinical development is ongoing.

Limitations noted in the source

  • Associations between endogenous MOTS-c levels and human traits do not establish effects of administered peptide.
  • Completed, peer-reviewed human efficacy trials of native MOTS-c are not yet available.
  • A calculator preset is a recorded research convention, not a recommendation or evidence of clinical benefit.
  • Identity, purity, sterility, and stability can vary substantially outside regulated manufacturing.
